Overview
All financial transactions within YouApp must occur securely through the in-app payment system. This policy ensures that payments, refunds, and host payouts are processed safely, traceably, and in compliance with applicable financial regulations.
YouApp does not permit any cash payments, direct transfers, or third-party payment arrangements between hosts and users.
This policy covers payments for activity and host bookings. Your wallet, top-ups, scan to pay, cashback and transfers are covered by the Wallet and Scan to Pay Terms. Your wallet is non-custodial: YouApp does not hold or control the MYRT or stablecoins in it. Booking payments are the only funds YouApp holds, as described below.
Payment Process for Users
- Only verified users can book or host activities.
- All bookings must be paid in-app using a supported payment method: your YouApp wallet balance (MYRT), DuitNow transfer, or debit / credit card. Card payments are subject to the card processing fee shown before you confirm.
- Once payment is completed, YouApp securely holds the booking payment until the session is completed and verified. It is then released to the host, less the host fee.
- After each session, the user must submit a rating or report within 24 hours.
- If the host fails to appear, the user must report the issue within 24 hours so that the payment can be placed under review.
- Booking payments are protected within YouApp's verified system; users should never make private or off-platform payments.
Refunds
- Refunds, when approved under the Cancellation, Rebooking and Refund Policy, are paid from the held booking payment, in ringgit (MYR).
- Refunds will only be processed after the necessary investigation is completed; processing typically takes 3 to 14 business days thereafter, depending on payment-gateway timelines.
Host Payouts
- Host earnings and payouts are in ringgit (MYR). When a host withdraws, the payout is paid to the withdrawal bank account the host has entered in the host dashboard. Hosts are responsible for keeping these bank details correct. YouApp may later offer booking refunds and host payouts in MYRT. We will give notice and update this policy before any such change.
- YouApp issues host payouts twice per month — on the 15th and the last day of each month — for eligible completed sessions.
- Hosts must click the "Withdraw" button in the app to initiate payout processing.
- Payout requests must be submitted before the payout dates (15th and the day before the last day of the month).
- If a host does not submit a withdrawal request before the cut-off date, the unpaid balance will remain in the host's earnings balance. The host may submit a withdrawal at any time, and YouApp will process the payout in the next available payout cycle.
- Payouts are released within 3 working days after a valid withdrawal request is received, provided no fraud flags, disputes, or investigations are pending.
- If a session is under investigation (e.g., reported no-show, incomplete session, or suspected policy breach), payment may be withheld until the case is resolved.
- All host payout details, including earnings, rates, or bonuses, are considered confidential. Hosts must not publicly disclose, share, or discuss payout information with other users, hosts, or external parties.
- Host Payout Calculation
- For each completed order booked and paid through the YouApp Platform, YouApp charges a host fee of 5% of the Booking Amount. The host fee is deducted from the amount released to the Host and is not added to the price the Participant pays. The remaining 95% of the Booking Amount is credited to the Host’s earnings balance, subject to approved refunds, chargebacks, reversals, or taxes required by law.
- “Booking Amount” refers only to the Host’s listed activity price for the booked duration or quantity, and excludes participant service fees, taxes, tips, gratuities, and other non-host charges.
- Example: if a Host’s listed price is RM 300 per hour and a Participant books 2 hours, the Booking Amount is RM 600, the YouApp host fee is RM 30, and the Host’s earnings balance is credited with RM 570, subject to the terms above.
- Hosts may offer cashback on their activities. Cashback offered by a Host is funded by that Host and paid to the Participant in MYRT, as shown in the app.
Prohibited Financial Conduct
The following actions are strictly prohibited:
- Requesting or accepting payment outside the YouApp app (e.g., bank transfer, cash, or third-party wallets).
- Encouraging other users to bypass in-app payments or conduct off-platform transactions.
- Offering discounts, incentives, or refunds through unofficial channels.
- Manipulating pricing, falsifying transactions, or using fake bookings to generate income or cashback.
Any violation may result in suspension, account termination, or referral to relevant authorities.
Fraud and Abuse Prevention
YouApp actively monitors for fraudulent or suspicious activity through both automated systems and manual review.
Potential indicators include:
- Multiple accounts linked to the same device, identity, wallet or payment source.
- Repeated cancellations or refund requests with inconsistent evidence.
- Attempts to falsify attendance, reviews, or session completion.
YouApp reserves the right to withhold held booking payments, delay payouts, withhold cashback, or permanently disable accounts involved in suspected fraud or abuse.
Local Laws and Operating Requirements
In certain jurisdictions, YouApp may work with local operators to support the local operation of the platform. Depending on the market and service involved, those operations may be subject to applicable local laws, regulations, licensing requirements, verification procedures, and reporting obligations.
Enforcement
YouApp may, at its discretion:
- Suspend or withhold held booking payments and payouts under investigation;
- Correct booking payments or payouts made in error;
- Terminate accounts found to be in breach of this policy; and
- Report unlawful payment activity to the appropriate authorities.
These actions apply to booking payments and payouts that YouApp holds. YouApp cannot freeze, reverse or move funds in a user's non-custodial wallet.
All enforcement actions under this policy are final and may be carried out without prior notice.
Unauthorised Payments
If you see a booking payment or payout you did not authorise, or think someone else has accessed your account, contact us straight away. YouApp may restrict the account while it investigates.
Records and Taxes
- Your booking payments, refunds, host fees and payouts are shown in your transaction history in the app. You should keep your own records.
- Hosts are responsible for their own tax obligations on their earnings. YouApp does not provide tax advice.
Service Availability
Payment methods depend on licensed partners and other third parties. A payment method may be unavailable, delayed or limited at times, including during maintenance or outages. Limits and fees that apply to wallet payments are set out in the Wallet and Scan to Pay Terms.
