Host Terms and Conditions

By accessing and using YouApp as a Host, you agree to be bound by the Terms of Service and these Host Terms and Conditions, all of which will be elaborated in detail below.
Activities: Activities (also called "Experiences" on YouApp) are created by Hosts who provide paid activities or services on YouApp.
Host Terms and Conditions: These terms and conditions govern your use of YouApp as a Host, and your obligations and responsibilities when offering activities or services through the platform.
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By registering as a Host on YouApp and/or listing activities, you indicate that you ("Host" or "you") have thoroughly read, understood and consented to these Host Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them. These Terms and Conditions between YouApp and Hosts are a binding legal agreement between you and YouApp that govern your use of YouApp's platform, applications, and other offerings.
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before using YouApp. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us. If you keep using YouApp, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein; if you disagree with the terms and conditions herein, you must stop offering activities and delete your Host account.
2. PLATFORM ROLE AND RELATIONSHIP
2.1 YouApp as Platform
YouApp operates solely as a technology platform and marketplace that connects Hosts with Participants. YouApp:
- Does NOT provide, operate, or control the activities, experiences, or services offered by Hosts
- Does NOT act as an employer, agent, or partner of Hosts
- Does NOT guarantee bookings, earnings, or participant attendance
- Facilitates bookings, payments, and communications only
2.2 Independent Service Provider
As a Host, you are an independent service provider. You are solely responsible for:
- The design, delivery, and quality of your activities
- All legal, tax, and insurance obligations
- Obtaining all necessary licenses, permits, and certifications
- Compliance with local laws and regulations
- Your own business operations and decisions
2.3 Host-Participant Contract
When a Participant books your activity, a direct contractual relationship is formed between you and the Participant. YouApp is not a party to this contract and has no liability for the performance or non-performance of the activity.
3. HOST QUALIFICATIONS AND VETTING
3.1 Eligibility Requirements
To become a Host on YouApp, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal right to offer the activities in your jurisdiction
- Possess relevant certifications, licenses, or qualifications for your activities
- Pass our identity verification process
- Complete our vetting and approval process
3.2 Vetting Process
All Hosts must complete our comprehensive vetting process, which includes:
- Identity Verification: Official documents and selfie verification
- Certification Authentication: Validation of all relevant certifications and awards
- Experience Assessment: Review of background and qualifications
- Trial Session: Mock or sample session (when required)

3.3 Ongoing Compliance
You must maintain all qualifications and certifications throughout your time as a Host. YouApp reserves the right to request updated documentation at any time. Failure to maintain qualifications may result in suspension or removal from the platform.
4. LISTING ACTIVITIES
4.1 Accurate Descriptions
You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about your activities, including:
- Clear description of what the activity involves
- Duration and schedule
- Location and meeting point
- Difficulty level and physical requirements
- What's included and what participants need to bring
- Maximum group size
- Cancellation policy
- Any risks or safety considerations
4.2 Photos and Media
All photos and media must be authentic and represent your actual activity. You must have the right to use all images you upload. Stock photos or misleading images are prohibited.
4.3 Pricing
You set your own prices for activities. Prices must be clearly stated and include all mandatory costs. You may not charge Participants additional fees beyond what is listed without prior agreement.
5. PAYMENTS AND FEES
5.1 Payment Processing
YouApp uses trusted third-party payment processors to handle all transactions securely. When a Participant books your activity, payment is collected by YouApp on your behalf.
5.2 Host Payouts
Payments will be transferred to your designated Host account within a fixed timeframe (daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly) as determined by YouApp, after deduction of:
- YouApp service fees (as specified in your Host dashboard)
- Applicable taxes and duties
- Payment processing fees
You are responsible for all costs, expenses, fees, and bank charges applicable to the settlement and transfer.
5.3 Payment Reversals
You remain liable to YouApp for the full amount of any payment that is later reversed for any reason ("Reversal Amount"). In the event of a payment reversal, YouApp is entitled to debit your Host account with the Reversal Amount and any applicable chargeback fees.
If YouApp is unable to fully recover the Reversal Amount from your Host account, you are required to repay the amount immediately. Failure to do so is a breach of these Terms.
5.4 Taxes
You are solely responsible for determining and fulfilling all tax obligations related to your activities, including income tax, sales tax, VAT, and any other applicable taxes. YouApp does not provide tax advice.
6. HOST RESPONSIBILITIES
6.1 Safety
You are solely responsible for the safety of all Participants during your activities. You must:
- Maintain all required safety equipment and certifications
- Provide clear safety instructions
- Assess conditions before each activity
- Have emergency procedures in place
- Never exceed safe capacity limits
- Comply with all safety regulations
6.2 Insurance
You are required to maintain appropriate insurance coverage for your activities, including but not limited to:
- General liability insurance
- Professional liability insurance (if applicable)
- Any other insurance required by law or regulation
YouApp may request proof of insurance at any time.
6.3 Licenses and Permits
You must obtain and maintain all necessary licenses, permits, and authorizations required to offer your activities, including:
- Business licenses
- Professional certifications
- Location permits
- Food handling licenses (if applicable)
- Any other regulatory requirements
6.4 Professional Conduct
You must maintain professional standards at all times, including:
- Punctuality and reliability
- Clear and respectful communication
- Appropriate boundaries with Participants
- Honoring all bookings and commitments
- Responding promptly to inquiries
7. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
7.1 Cancellation Policy
You must set a clear cancellation policy for each activity. Common options include:
- Flexible: Full refund up to 1 week before the activity
- Moderate: Full refund up to 7 days before, 50% refund up to 1 week before
- Strict: Full refund up to 14 days before, no refund thereafter
7.2 Host-Initiated Cancellations
If you cancel a confirmed booking, Participants are entitled to a full refund. Frequent cancellations may result in penalties, including:
- Reduced visibility in search results
- Suspension of your Host account
- Removal from the platform
7.3 Force Majeure
In cases of extreme weather, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond your control, you may cancel with full refunds to Participants without penalty.
8. REVIEWS AND RATINGS
Participants may leave reviews and ratings after completing your activity. Reviews are an important part of building trust on the platform. You may respond to reviews but may not:
- Offer incentives for positive reviews
- Request removal of negative but honest reviews
- Retaliate against Participants who leave negative reviews
- Post fake or misleading reviews
Consistently low ratings may result in suspension or removal from the platform.
9. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
YouApp reserves the right to suspend or terminate your Host account at any time and at its sole discretion in any of the following circumstances:
- Violation of these Host Terms or our Terms of Service
- Violation of Community Guidelines
- Fraudulent, suspicious, or unauthorized activity
- Failure to maintain required qualifications or insurance
- Consistently poor reviews or participant complaints
- Offering activities outside agreed business categories
- Failure to deliver activities as described
- Non-payment of fees or negative account balance
Upon suspension or termination, you must:
- Cease all use of the YouApp platform
- Honor any existing bookings or provide full refunds
- Settle any outstanding financial obligations
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
You grant YouApp a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote your activity listings, photos, and other content in connection with the platform. This includes the right to feature your activities in marketing materials.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you upload and that it does not infringe on any third-party rights.
11. LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION
11.1 Host Liability
You are solely liable for any injury, loss, damage, or claim arising from your activities. YouApp is not liable for:
- Any injury or harm to Participants
- Property damage during activities
- Failure to deliver activities as described
- Your violation of laws or regulations
11.2 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless YouApp and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your activities and services
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any laws or regulations
- Any injury or damage caused by your activities
- Any dispute with Participants
12. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
YouApp reserves the right to modify these Host Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes, but it is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
13. GOVERNING LAW
These Host Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Singapore.
